That’s too . . . too

Are you one of those writers who can sit down and start pounding the keys? If so, read no further.

If you are on the opposite side of the spectrum, could it be that you are being too judgmental? Try freeing yourself with brainstorming/freewriting. I’m sure you know the drill. Do you find yourself getting anxious as nothing pops in your head?

The key to brainstorming is it must be non-judgmental. This is your chance to be wild and wacky. Completely uninhibited. Nothing is too far out. Too improbable. Too irrelevant.

Keep that editor/teacher/devil muse or whatever you call that black, darkened voice that whispers in your ear negative thoughts at bay. Tell them to leave the building. Get outta town. Their fired.

Let your thoughts go in any and every direction. Because it is never too wild . . . too crazy . . .too anything.

If anything, tell yourself, “This is just too, too good.”
